The Long Farewell // Short Film & Soundtrack Release
Many moons ago, an incredible human invited me to create music for a wonderful project centered around the advocacy work of ‘Meals On Wheels’. This historic institution is a valuable resource utilized by so many. Sculpting a frequency that resonated around a system of human connection, of community integration and individual advocacy was extremely inspiring. Crafting sonic textures to help lift the narrative utilizing such instruments like a bowed vibraphone, human chanting, 1800s pump organ to the sensory strumming of a modern acoustic guitar, allowed me to bridge a timeless feel using an almost timeless array of instrumentation.
This short film, "The Long Farewell," is from Award-Winning Writer and Director Demetrius LaSean Witherspoon. This was produced in collaboration with Meals On Wheels, Inc. - Indiana. Starring Jeff Angel, Phyllis Reynolds, Dija Renuka, and Cassandra Schomer.
